The Theatre Department is currently featuring an Evening of One Acts, the play consists of four showings: Graceland, Down Came the Rain, Where Have All the Lightning Bugs Gone?, and Touch the Bluebird Song.
Graceland is the first of the four plays, featuring Senior Katie Harvey and Junior Avery Seevers, the story is of two women in competition to speak (and hopefully see) Elvis Presley at his mansion. Down Came the Rain displays the relationship between a brother, played by Wesley Williams, and his intellectually disabled younger brother, played by Julian Wendt. The two are placed in the forest and are fighting to stay alive. Where Have All the Lighting Bugs Gone? shows the interaction between two teens (girl played by Freshman Abigail Jump and young man by Junior Julian Wendt) through their imaginative adventures. Touch the Bluebird Song considers a relationship between two people (girl played by Senior Katie Harvey and Junior Wesley Williams) who are exploring different paths in life. An Evening of One Acts next showing is Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
